La Vie en Rose along Jalan Raja Chulan was my chosen restaurant for Alwin's birthday dinner last Friday, 12 Oct. I rushed home in the jam, quickly showered, and then we headed downtown for dinner only to be greeted by massive 90 minute standstill traffic.
When we got there, all sour faced and hungry, we were greeted by friendly faces so that turned our mood around. Dinner was great - the food was good, service was fine and our table was located right at the balcony where KL Tower and KLCC were in view. The cool breeze was a plus point so yes, we had the romantic, fun dinner we both wanted, but didn't bring up.

The next day, we celebrated Alwin's birthday again, this time with my family at S.Wine Cafe at Publika. This time we surprised him with a balloon, a Toyota birthday cake and a mini Birthday banner strung on the window blinds. Violet got for him a Topshop t-shirt while I gave him a Raoul shirt and card. Again, food was good, and company even better. We made noise, laughed, ate lots of food and cake, and then went back happy and satisfied.
